Cognitive Bias in Profiling

Elements of Numbers: Number patterns

Many of you have learned about number patterns and have linked it to particular traits. And you learned that the person(s) having such a pattern in their birth charts will inhibit, experience, and/or display such traits.

Profiling is NOT about PON UCMHP LifeQuest Visiber BUT Elements of Numbers EONIf you have taken numerology classes elsewhere, I have one question. Have you ever wondered why there are birth charts where the person does not show or display such presumptive traits (associated with the number patterns that you have learned)? If you said “no,” then you haven’t done many profiling exercises. If you said “yes“, you would know that you have been taught to profile based on cognitive bias.

According to this Simply Psychology page, “A cognitive bias is a subconscious error in thinking that leads you to misinterpret information from the world around you, and affects the rationality and accuracy of decisions and judgements.

For instance, cognitive biases may lead to:

  • Attribute other people’s success to luck.
  • Assuming you’re right all the time.
  • Assuming that everyone has the same views and beliefs.
  • Never look for objective facts.
  • Interpreting birth charts to support your existing belief.
  • Only remembering number-pattern details that uphold your belief.
  • Ignoring information that challenges your beliefs.

And these could influence your critical thinking in areas like:

  • Memory
  • Decision-making
  • Behaviour
  • Judgement

I noticed that many external trainers conducting courses (such as PON, UCMHP, LifeQuest, Visiber) are educating their students with cognitive bias profiling thinking. Some of the cognitive biases: anchoring bias, bandwagon bias, overconfidence bias, authority bias, representative bias, instant gratification bias, selective perception bias, spotlight bias, and the obvious one – pattern-seeking bias.

Do not attend numerology courses if you just want to learn more about yourself. Yet you lack the discipline and determination to follow your knowledge through “learning by doing and learning to experiment” initiatives. Attending short courses, or even a 3-month course, would not make you an expert instantly. It is the practices and adoption of neutral and non-cognitive biases in your profiling that allow you to analyse charts clearly. And with time, you grow to know and understand yourself and others better.

The next time when you profile a chart, and the thoughts of “573 is bankruptcy number, 279 is mistress number, 123 is asset number, 966 is Midas number, and so on” comes into your mind, pause for a moment. Accept and recognise that it’s just one of the many possibilities, and not an eventual confirmed belief.

Elements of Numbers: The Birth Chart Is NOT The PersonalityDon’t forget that people change, as do our thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Some of us have changed progressively while others have changed radically. In recent years, there have been disruptions and sudden changes in work attitudes, especially in terms of more hybrid work practices, remote working, benefits, etc. Inflation is increasing and it may affect your expenses and your diet, as well as your lifestyle, health and personality. These changes do not show up in your birth chart. That’s one of the reasons I emphasised that “The Birth Chart is Not the Personality.

Many external trainers have to change their mindset. The signs in the birth chart do not permanently determine and conclude the personality of an individual. Rather, there are signs in periodic charts such as personal year, personal month and personal day charts. And for my EON/FEN students, the more relatable signs are easily retrievable from the Combined Day Charts, 9-Year Cycle (9YR-C), and the periodic pillars (Personal Year, Month, Day, Hour).

Your Beliefs don't make you a better person; your behaviours does. Elements of Numbers EONThe solution to many of our common problems – family, money, health, career and relationships – doesn’t come through “time-limited” gimmicks like LifeCode and other costly symbolic ornaments and accessories. Instead, the remedy is FREE and the positive energies are limitless and only expire upon your death.

And what is the FREE solution?

Mindset change. Perspective shifts. Paradigm shifts. Self-awareness. If you adapt and adjust your thinking, it will influence and affect your emotions, behaviours and habits. Know your vulnerabilities and improve your agility and Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Finally, it might turn you into a better version of yourself. All this, at no extra cost, without attending any course, and more effective. Oh, the only problem here – you need to instil discipline, resolve and resilience to make sure you can change. It can be done with the right goals and small steps.

And for my Five Elements Numerology (FEN) students, there are other techniques to allow them to know what areas to focus on, understand and change. And use my EFV FLOW and EFV SPAN techniques. Even periodical codes (birth, annual, day, reflection) provide additional clues as needed.

If you're not happy with who you are, then change it. Elements of Numbers EONQuit profiling the next time you notice cognitive biases. Maintain neutrality and objectivity. Here’s an analogy: think about a person’s emotions and personality in relation to a rubber band. When it is loose (and relaxed), it can be practical, flexible, useful and without tension (stress). But when the elastic is stretched tightly, it can injure you, use it as a manipulative weapon to injure others, and break (pressure, mental stress). Hence, there are always two extreme ends to a behaviour, reaction or respond; and not only “confirmed, chopped (stamped), and signed” assertion some trainers used… that only one extreme worst existed for everyone.

As a lifelong learner, I am always curious and gain insights that I could incorporate into my Transformational Change through EON Profiling framework. And the visualisation techniques that I’ve shared all along are still the essence and the importance of understanding yourself and knowing which areas to change.

I never dreamed about success. I worked for it. Elements of Numbers EONSeparately, in my earlier posting, I mentioned about my coaching sessions. I’m a certified coach and seek to be an accredited certified coach with experience. I’m strengthening my coaching techniques to complement my transformative profiling practices.

Some of you (who have not been in my classes before) have attended my pro bono (free, for limited period) coaching sessions. You have cleared the mental clutter in your mind, found out for yourself and prioritise which task is more important and urgent. And more importantly and clearly, you know what you need to act by taking small steps towards achieving milestones.

Reach out to me if you are currently having problems with many things in mind and are unsure what you can do to progress. Email me at SunTzu2796 @ gmail.com Or WhatsApp me at (65) 9234-1668 to schedule a pro bono 1-to-1 confidential coaching session.
