Immune system gene linked with Parkinson’s
In a recent Reuters article, it was reported that a gene linked with the immune system may play a role in developing Parkinson’s disease, marking a possible advance in the search for effective treatments.
This is great news to all. Medical science has advanced these days. It could have been better (and earlier) if Western medical experts and students put aside their scientific-requirement mindset and look beyond western medicine, like alternative medicine for clues that may help them in their research for a medical breakthrough.
The Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease that affects 1 to 2 percent of people over age 65. In simple terms, it is a disease of the central nervous system. Sufferers have tremors, sluggish movement, muscle stiffness and difficulty with balance.
In the Five Elements theory, Metal produces Water which in turns, support Wood. When both the kidney (Water, numbers 2 and 7) and liver (Wood, numbers 4 and 9) is weak, it could imply the immune system (Metal, numbers 1 and 6) may be weak too. In addition, when Metal is strong, it may control and affect the Wood (liver) directly.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is the result of yin deficiency of the kidney and liver. Therefore, there is a need to nourish the kidney and liver.
In Elements of Numbers (EON) method, if there is one or less Metal (numbers 1 and 6) or too many Metal elements in the birth chart, this could affect the kidney and liver as well. However, it doesn’t necessary mean if you have either a weak or strong Metal element in your chart, you may get the Parkinson’s disease. It is NOT a simple or straightforward deduction. There could have been other contributing health factors as well. Occasionally, I noticed there is strong Wood element present in the birth charts. This could have created a repulse effect on Metal.

- Mao Zedong (26 December 1893)
- Deng Xiaoping (22 August 1904)
- Adolf Hitler (20 April 1889)
Try plotting their birth charts. Do include the hidden numbers as it may help sometimes. Check the Internet for the year or estimated period where these people have the Parkinson’s disease. Plot their Personal Year charts for further analysis.
Are you able to gather any clue?
Often, we can identify Metal to be either too strong or weak, directly or indirectly affecting the Water or Wood. However, the observations made are not definite as the person may have other health conditions, and these may trigger the Parkinson’s disease. In addition, using the birth date alone may be too general. Perhaps plotting the Time of Birth chart may provide additional clues. I have provided the steps to plot the Time of Birth chart in my book.
