Changing lives through Sam Childers
Last night (3 Jan 2012), I was watching the Preview Screening of “MACHINE GUN PREACHER” at a local theatre in town. The movie was based on “the inspirational true story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who undergoes an astonishing transformation and finds an unexpected calling as the saviour of hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned Sudanese children who’ve been forced to become soldiers.”
This movie hopes to inspire people to take action on what they want to do. According to Sam, “Hope is The Greatest Weapon of All“. When you have hope, you can transform your dreams into reality by taking action to make it happen. Sam did and changed the lives of many people.
Different people have different ways to change the lives of others. I know many of you have also changed your own habits and thoughts, and acted on your changes to make your life a better one.
On a different level, I’m glad my book “Elements of Numbers: Fast and Easy Character Profiling”, my articles posted here, and the extended methods I’ve shared at my workshops have changed many of you. No matter how much the changes you’ve made, you must understand that it’s not me who’ve changed you. I’m only providing you with the “getting started” information to know yourself better. I’m guiding you to build up your knowledge, to be more confident, and to be adaptable to changes. You are the “master changer” of your own life. You took actions to transform your hopes into reality. You’ve changed because you wanted to.
I was happy and inspired when I received Natalie’s email, thanking me for releasing my book and sharing my discoveries with others. Here’s an edited copy of what she wrote:
“Thanks for the patience and explanation. Ever since I’ve bought your book, it really lights up my life and my hubby’s life too. He has bought another copy for his own learning. In total, we have introduced your book to about 15 of our friends. The most interesting part is we used to play mahjong with our friends every Saturday and Sunday. Our lives have since changed after we brought along your book and discuss the methods with the group. We really enjoyed your book as it helped brings me closer to my hubby and friends. Everytime when a friend spotted something weird in a person’s chart, we’d start to share and ask questions. We are thankful to know you and read your book.
